Getting your splits

Hi. I have been working on my splits and yesterday I finally got my right leg split. So after stretching and working out today I have seem to have lost it. What is the reason why I lost my split in a day when I stretched and everything?

Dear Tatiana,

Your body (self) changes every day slightly, depending on many factors like your training rhythm, hormonal cycles, feeding, tiredness, metabolism or even mood. Those changes may cause tension in muscles or less flexibility as a consequence.

Don’t worry too much about the ups and downs of your flexibility. That’s normal. The best thing is to continue training and doing all the stretching routines so that the slight changes due to circumstances stop making a big difference.
