Will I have to dance naked?

I am 16 and have been studying dance (ballet, modern) for 8 years. I am really interested in contemporary dance, but so many of the performances I see feature fully or partially nude dancers. Will I need to be prepared to dance naked if I want to pursue a career in contemporary dance?

FIRST REPLY:

The straight answer is NO.
You will only dance naked or partially naked if you agree with it, because you understand its sense as part of the dancing project and you feel comfortable with it.

Otherwise, you can simply say no. And that's all.

Thanks. I understand that no one can make me dance naked against my will (that would be creepy). What I mean is will my dance career options be more limited when I'm older if I choose not to dance naked?
