The job of managing it was given to Conrad Drzewiecki, an outstanding dancer and choreographer.

In 1988 Ewa Wycichowska took over as the manager and artistic director of the Polish Dance Theatre. These over 37 years mean over 180 premieres, performed on five continents, rewards on prestigious festivals, almost 1 million spectators, around 2600 spectacles.

Polish Dance Theatre has cooperated with outstanding choreographers from all over the world: Brigit Cullberg, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Thierry Verger, Örjan Andersson, Jens Ostberg, Karine Saporta, “Le Carnetes Bogonet”, Virpi Pahkinen, Jacek Przybylowicz and many others.

Polish Dance Theatre also accompanies political and economical international events, numerous films, documents and TV shows. Every year we organize International Workshops of Contemporary Dance and an International Festival of Dance Theatres.
