What's the name of this dance pose/move?

Hi!

I did this move in class and I have forgotten what it is called.

It is when you:

Point your toe out to the side, keeping your legs straight

Pull your leg in - like a tree pose

Move your leg to the front - so that your tree pose is forward

And kick your leg out

Anyone know what this is called?

Hey Lily,

Souns like a type of "grand battement"...

But if you were in a modern or contemporary dance class, the name of the move depends on the specific technique you were practicing.
