Solo Dance, moves or routines ideas?

by Senpai
(England)

I'm a year 11 student and to get my final grade, I need to create, and perform a solo dance, but I have no idea how to dance or come up with anything.
Can anyone please give me ideas of simple moves or routines that I can use please?
My song choice is The Balcony Scene by Pierce The Veil.

Thankyou:33

Dear Senpai,

Have you already made some research at Yotube?

There are many easy routines available, from which you can learn and get ideas.

Here’s an example:

If you don’t like this routine, just follow the related videos till you find something that fits what you need. Use keywords like simple dance routine, simple contemporary dance routine, beginners contemporary dance routine, easy contemporary dance routine or short contemporary dance routine, etc.

If you want some other knowledge about choreographing your own solo, you may like some of the chats that we have in our forum, like this one:

Whenever I get stuck trying to come up with a dance idea, I try to pick a theme to play with. What if you had to dance while tied to a rope that was connected to something? What if you tried choreographing an entire piece without ever leaving a chair in the middle of the stage? What if you had only a single spotlight on the stage?
Find limitations and ask yourself how you might work around them. It is a great thought exercise to play with on a stage and then when you find one that sticks, create a story that lines up with whatever that limitation is. For example, I always thought it would be cool to have a block in the middle of the stage and have one of my feet tied to a rope on the block. And the piece would be about how sometimes in life we try to move forward without understanding that we must let go of what is holding us back.
Hope you find a good concept!
