How to improve my skill of expressing the attitude of a dance

by Asia Peyton
(Spain)

Hi. I can pick up choreography pretty fast but it takes me a day or two of practising it to add "attitude" or to get the "vibe" of the choreo. My question is how do I get the feel or the vibe of a choreography faster? Thanks x

Dear Asia,

That subtle component of dance is executed with emotional or mental movements instead of biomechanical movements. Therefore, if you want to improve your skills on that, you may take some acting classes.

However, you say that it takes you two days of practicing to get to the right attitude. That is quite a fast achievement… so don’t think you are bad at it…
